Marie Cockerell
I have been practising yoga for 22 years and teaching for about 17 years. I was introduced to yoga during an extremely difficult time in my life and since then yoga has been there to a lesser or greater degree. Sometimes I practice a lot, sometimes a little and sometimes not at all. But I always return. Sometimes if I’m really curious and listen well I find my body may have the answer.

More than yoga
I have lived in Deal for 22 years with my husband and three children, working as a podiatrist, yoga teacher and breath instructor.
Yoga is a great tool to help with life, during both the smooth and bumpy times. Its not just about flexibility its about developing awareness of how we are and helping us make a choice about how we want to be.
Its not a magic wand it takes practice
I teach movement that is based on yoga but is influenced by every movement practice I’ve experienced.
I teach movement that feels good for me , my body and my age and encourage you to do the same.
I guide breath work that is functional and based in science and breath work from the oldest yoga traditions, but also encourage you to be your own teacher, you know what you need.
I teach movement influenced by every yoga or movement teacher I’ve been taught by.
I teach movement that helps me to explore new ways of being and opens me to change.
